IONIA, Mich. (WOTV)-The 2015 MI Youth Leadership Training Camp is now taking registrations!  This year’s camp is being held at Camp Tuhsmeheta from July 26-July 31.  The MYLTC camp is open to high students from 9th grade through 12th grade, who are interested in leadership, cultural and social events along with making lasting friendships with other students.  This will be the 5th annual camp this summer. The cost is $20 for the week, and registration is on a first come first serve basis. Scholarships are available for campers who qualify, through grants provided by State Farm.

Campers will have the opportunity to participate in an overnight outdoor immersion experience, participate in cultural events in the evenings and participate in simulations. Campers will also learn about the social change model, the Seven C’s of Social Justice, share their talents in a talent show and many other activities throughout the week. Click here to register.

School mentors will work with campers on a project that can be positively implemented in their communities, based on important issues of social justice.  Past projects have included: hunger, homelessness, teen driver safety and literacy.  MI Youth Leadership Training Camp takes pride in not only making an impact on the campers, but also on the campers’ communities.
